Larger than human scale and rare wooden Tibetan Himalayan Tribal Shaman Mask. Extremely decorated with Antelope Horns, tooth and beard - composed by Yak fur and bones, metal plaque, hardstone and bone as forehead decoration. It is decorated also with Rudraksha seeds (they are associated with the Hindu deity Shiva and are commonly worn for protection by his devotees. The seeds are primarily used in India, Tibet and Nepal as beads for organic jewellery and malas, and are valued similarly to semi-precious stones). Very rare c. 1950’s. An extremely fine example of handmade shaman mask.

Can be wall hung or stands up on shelf or table for display.
