Rare & high quality 19th Century anatomical dissected wax head model mounted on a wall hanging board. Probably German.
European anatomical wax model of a human head, left profile, mounted on board. Realistic depictions of teeth, jaw, tongue, muscles, veins, facial hair, nervous and arterial system of the head and neck. Label and label remains on front of board.
In the 18th and 19th centuries, students used intricate wax anatomical models that vividly represented organs, bones, and tissue.
Good condition for period. Small area of glued restoration to top back area of skull, next to very small chip (1cm x 0.2cm). Front of face, mouth, teeth and neck in very good condition. Some cracking around frame of wooden board.
The wooden board frame has a bracket for wall hanging, or it can be displayed laying down on a pedestal or table.

Small to medium items that aren't fragile will be sent fully insured with Fedex to UK, EU and Rest of World.
We would recommend sending any extra fragile or very large items by van courier to UK addresses. We have also used reliable and affordable couriers for such items to most of the EU.
Large and fragile items can also be sent crated via shipping companies.
